Franks graduates from Kirkwood
Heather Franks of Norway was among the members of the Kirkwood Community College graduating class of 2015 – 2016. College faculty and administration joined friends and family in saluting the graduates at commencement ceremonies at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, May 14.

Newhall student Hailey Benson presents research at Central College
Central College student Hailey Benson of Newhall presented research during Central's Undergraduate Research Symposium this spring. The event provided more than 200 students with the opportunity to showcase their research and projects in a variety of disciplines.
Benson participated in the Independent Research in Chemistry symposium session with the presentation "Determination of p-coumaric acid in corn samples by fluorescence.
Rachel Gordon named to UNL Dean's List
Rachel Danielle Gordon of Shellsburg has been named to the Deans' List/Explore Center List of Distinguished Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
Gordon, a sophomore English major, was named to the Dean's List for the College of Arts and Sciences.
Qualification for the Deans' List/List of Distinguished Students varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center.
